AVSI is a nonprofit NGO founded in 1972. It currently has over 100 cooperation-for-development projects in 37 countries in Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and other regions in Asia. AVSI’s mission is to “promote the dignity of people” through cooperation for development and educational initiatives. For years now, Emmegi has worked with AVSI as its technical sponsor on a pro bono basis, providing audio-visual materials and technical and logistical assistance for a variety of events.

We mention two upcoming projects: “Costruendo un bene per tutti” (building assets for all) – Tent Campaign The 2012-2013 AVSI Tent Campaign provides support to humanitarian projects around the world. In particular, these include projects in Ecuador, providing educational and daycare services to families; in Uganda, for the Guissani school in Kampala; in Syria, for families fleeing the war; and in Ethiopia, for the Catholic University of Addis Abeba. The AVSI Tents Project was developed in 1990 to help the first volunteers through fundraising and publicity for their work in the world to help the most fragile communities.
